Matt Venne, CPA, CA
Partner RLB Chartered Professional Accountants
Matt Venne, CPA, CA is a Partner at RLB Chartered Professional Accountants; a full-service regional public accounting firm. Matt worked for two national accounting firms in Northern Ontario before joining RLB in 2005. Being exposed to some of the largest and most complex audits has given him a broader perspective that benefits his current clients, especially those in the municipal and not-for-profit sectors. While those experiences were valuable, Matt chose to build his career at RLB, where the environment is more client-centered and encourages serving each client as an individual.
Matt enjoys building personal relationships with his clients and acting as their confidant. The majority of his practice is focused on working with agricultural clients (producers and agri-business) and owner managed businesses. Matt aims to go well beyond the accounting role, but focuses with each client on what is important to them. From minimizing tax to assisting in generational transition of the business, Matt is always involved in either leading or supporting the process.
“It’s quite an amazing thing to have someone who worked so hard to build their business come to you as a trusted advisor” Matt says.
In his spare time, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife and five children. The Vennes are thrilled to have made their home in the rural community of Fergus.
